Proud to Sponsor Blackpool Pride 2026

2 June 2026

Moving from London to Blackpool was a huge change for me, but it became a place I genuinely fell in love with and still care about a lot today. That's one of the reasons sponsoring Blackpool Pride this year means so much to me both personally and professionally.

Blackpool has always had a strong sense of individuality, community, entertainment, and self expression. It's a place that welcomes people from all walks of life, which is one of the reasons the LGBTQ+ community has always had such a visible presence there.

As an LGBTQ+ personal trainer, supporting events like Blackpool Pride feels incredibly important to me. Pride events are about much more than just one weekend. They create visibility, safe spaces, connection, support, and celebration for people who may not always feel accepted or comfortable elsewhere.

Why Pride Events Still Matter

Although society has progressed in many ways, many LGBTQ+ people still struggle with confidence, acceptance, mental health challenges, discrimination, or simply feeling comfortable being themselves in certain environments.

Pride gives people a place where they can celebrate openly, feel supported, and be surrounded by community.

That visibility matters.

For younger LGBTQ+ people especially, seeing inclusive businesses, supportive communities, and large public events can make a huge difference. It reminds people they are not alone.

Blackpool Pride has become one of the biggest Pride celebrations on the Fylde Coast and brings together thousands of people every year for a weekend full of positivity, entertainment, and community spirit.

I'm genuinely proud to support that.

Creating Inclusive Fitness Spaces

One of the biggest reasons I became a personal trainer was because I understand how intimidating fitness spaces can sometimes feel.

For many people, walking into a gym can already feel overwhelming. That feeling can become even stronger for LGBTQ+ individuals, beginners, people struggling with confidence, or anybody who has previously felt judged in fitness environments.

Unfortunately, a lot of gym culture online still focuses on unrealistic expectations, comparison, or intimidating approaches that can put people off before they even begin.

Fitness should not feel exclusive.

As a gay personal trainer in Manchester, I try to create an environment where people feel comfortable, supported, and able to ask questions without judgement. My coaching style is very down to earth and focused on helping people build confidence alongside physical progress.

Not everybody's goal is to become extremely lean or muscular. Sometimes people simply want to:

  • Feel healthier
  • Improve confidence
  • Lose weight safely
  • Gain strength
  • Improve their routine
  • Feel more comfortable in gym spaces
  • Improve mental wellbeing

Those goals are just as important.

LGBTQ+ Personal Training In Manchester

I currently offer personal training in Manchester alongside online coaching support across the UK.

A large part of my client base includes people who are:

  • Nervous about the gym
  • Returning to fitness after a break
  • Complete beginners
  • Looking for LGBTQ+ inclusive coaching
  • Wanting support without feeling intimidated

I focus heavily on building confidence, improving technique, creating realistic habits, and making training feel approachable rather than overwhelming.

The gym should be a place that improves your confidence, not damages it.

Everybody starts somewhere, and everybody deserves support regardless of experience level.

Why Supporting Blackpool Pride Means So Much To Me

Because Blackpool played such an important part in my own life, supporting Blackpool Pride feels genuinely meaningful.

The town has such a unique personality and such a strong LGBTQ+ community. Pride events help keep that sense of visibility, acceptance, and celebration alive.

As a small LGBTQ+ owned business, I also believe it's important to give back and support the community wherever possible.

Alongside supporting Pride events, I've also supported initiatives connected to George House Trust and continue trying to build a business that reflects inclusivity, support, and community values.

Fitness And Mental Health

Something I speak about openly is the relationship between fitness and mental wellbeing.

Exercise is not a cure for mental health struggles, but for many people it can positively impact confidence, routine, stress levels, self esteem, and overall wellbeing.

Within the LGBTQ+ community especially, body image pressures can sometimes feel extremely intense. Social media and comparison culture have only added to that pressure over the years.

That's why I try to approach coaching from a supportive and realistic place rather than using shame, pressure, or unrealistic expectations.

Sometimes simply getting somebody comfortable enough to enter a gym consistently is already a huge achievement.

Looking Ahead To Pride Weekend

I'm really excited to be supporting Blackpool Pride 2026 and being involved in such an important community event.

Pride weekends always remind me how powerful community spaces can be and how important it is that people continue feeling welcomed, supported, and accepted exactly as they are.

Whether you're attending for the performances, the nightlife, the atmosphere, or simply to celebrate being yourself, I hope everybody has an amazing weekend.
